How to Make Coffee Hot Enough? Why does the coffee taste so cold?

If your coffee tastes cold, it may caused by without running a pre-heating cycle before brewing coffee.PLEASE try pre-heating the brew head, tubes, portafilter and your mug by brewing a double espresso without adding any coffee grounds.Place a cup under the portafilter and press the double espresso button, then some hot water will come out from the portafilter. Next, pour out the water, you can start brewing hot enough coffee.

How to Clean the Clotted Milk Frother? Why there is no steam coming out of the steam wand, but out of the group head?

If there is no steam/hot water coming out of the steam wand, and water is coming out of the group head. It may indicate that the steam tube may be clotted by milk.PLEASE try cleaning the steam tube with a needle. Just remove the head of the steam wand and use a needle insert the steam wand. If the milk frother is severely clogged, the frother head needs to be boiled for a few minutes, and then use a needle to clean it.

How to Cool Down the Machine? Why doesn’t machine work, only 1 cup and 2 cup buttons are alternate flashing?

If the 1 CUP/2 CUP indicators are flashing simultaneously and rapidly after the 1 CUP/2 CUP button is pressed, and you are unable to brew coffee, it indicates that the over-temperature protection is triggered.PLEASE turn the knob on the side of the machine to the WATER position to let the hot water come out for 20 seconds, and then return the knob to the OFF position. When the boiler is cooled down, you can brew the coffee again.PLEASE do not brew coffee immediately after frothing milk.

How to Set the Volume? You can set the volume of the 1 cup and 2 cup according to your needs.

Set the volume of 1/2 cup:

Press and hold the 1/2 CUP button for 3 seconds. The machine will beep 3 times and start brewing. When the desired amount is reached, press the 1/2 CUP button again. The machine will beep 3 times slowly to indicate that the new volume of 1/2 cup has been set.

Reset the default volume: Simultaneously press and hold the 1 CUP and 2 CUP buttons for 3 seconds, the machine will beep 3 times, all the buttons will flash 5 times. Then default dispensing amounts have been set.

How to Lock the Portafilter? Why is so hard to lock the portafilter for the first time?

For a brand-new machine, you may need to apply extra force to screw the portafilter into the machine for the first time. We suggest you apply some cooking oil on the rim of the portafilter to reduce the resistance during the initial use period. It will become easier after the machine has been used for a while.PLEASE follow the correct amount of coffee ground (7-9g for a single shot,13-15g for a double shot)PLEASE do not fill the coffee grounds over the Max line marked on the portafilter.

How to get 3700Essential ready for first-time use?

After removing the red rubber ring, install the water tank and fill it with water. Let the machine preheat until the lights on all buttons stay on. Turn the steam knob to make hot water. Let hot water flow for 10s. Turn the knob to OFF.

Are there any tips for making milk foam?

1.Use cold whole milk. 2.Please don’t insert the steam wand deep into the milk. To achieve the best frothing result, insert the steam wand in the milk, just blow the surface. 3.Please keep the steam wand at a 30-60° angle to the surface of the milk.

There is little crema in the espresso. How to get an espresso with rich crema?

1. Increase the coffee dose. Use 7-9g for a single shot and 13-15g for a double shot; 2. Use a finer ground coffee; 3. Tamp the ground coffee with more pressure; 4. Use fresh ground coffee for espresso

How often should I run a descaling cycle to clean the machine?

It’s acceptable to deep-clean the machine by running a descaling cycle once a month. Please follow the maintenance instructions, proper and regular maintenance will help you use the machine for a longer longevity.

Can this machine be compatible with any espresso pods?

This machine is designed to work with pre-ground and freshly ground coffee, it is not compatible with espresso pods.
