Meet our founders, Kirsty and Al

Clocking up over 20 years together, Kirsty and Al share a love of all things outdoors, health and, of course, good coffee.

After 15 years working in the corporate world (interspersed with 5 years of backpacking) they quit their hectic London jobs to launch Exhale in 2020.

We are proud to be one of the first 1,000 B Corp’s in the UK and aim to inspire other, bigger brands to follow suit by proving there is a better way of doing business.

It’s written into our legals and we take it seriously.

We use a certified home pouch which has an industrially valve (the best currently available).

It’s made from kraft paper and polylactic acid (PLA) – a plant-based renewable material – posted in a mailer made from 100% recycled and recyclable FSC certified paper.

We are proud to support Counting Coral through 1% for the Planet, a non-profit who combine art and conservation to restore coral reefs.

We also collaborated with Ocean Bottle to produce a co-branded BREW thermal flask. For each flask bought 1,000 ocean-bound plastic bottles (or 11.4kgs of plastic) are collected via Ocean Bottle and 100% of profits are donated to Counting Coral.

We passionately believe that organic farming practices need to be adopted by all farms for the sake of both our health and the health of the planet.

We only source from organic certified farms or those using organic principles. Organic principles include avoiding the use of non-organic chemicals, which as well as being better for the environment is also a good thing for the quality and health benefits of our coffee.
